Rock fans from Cux can see here a band I met when The High Society also played in Cux. They were a happy band who liked to have fun and enjoy the local wine and beers. In those days you could buy a bottle of wine from a machine for 2 DM. On one occasion we went to the room The Maggots were staying at, and one of them had been sick out of the first floor window. He had drunk too much wine! After he had been sick he was the only person I know who would continue drinking the stuff. The bass player was from Liverpool and had a typical 'scouse' sense of humour. There was a girl from Holland who worked behind the bar at the Magnet Bar and he asked her where her windmill was. Since he was short, he also had short arms, and when trying on my Fender bass guitar, made great efforts to reach the end, making us laugh.
Does anyone else remember seeing The Maggots in Club 99? Perhaps you could write and let us know.
